Transcripts are available to students who ask for them. However, schools wishing to transfer credit from the Bible Institute usually require that we send the transcripts directly to the institution asking for it. Therefore, please submit all of the pertinent information (the schools name, address, personnel, etc.) to the registrar's office. A charge of $10.00 may be charged for this service.
We invite you to consider enrolling in one of the following classes:
NEW CONVERTS is primarily for newborn babes in Christ (those knowing
Christ for 1 year or less) who simply want to get to know the Lord better through
His word. These students study the Bible alone, and they gain spiritual insights
through this 2 hour course as well as the knowledge of life application principles
for the new converts. This class is for one year.
CHRISTIAN WORKERS is a course prescribed for those who have a special
burden for soul-winning and personal evangelism. Also, if you desire to adapt
yourself to the various aspects of the Gospel ministry, from the Sunday School
to the Missionary Department, then by all means register for this course. This
course is for one year.
EVANGELISM (ADVANCED) is prescribed especially for those who feel called
to the evangelistic ministry and want to prepare for the field immediately.
This course provides ample training ground for students, especially since it
requires more speaking assignments. Students may visit homeless shelters to
witness, speak, and pray in this and other public/private areas. In other words,
students learn how to be more effective servants for Christ. This course is
for one year.
SOUL WINNING is designed for those who have a burning desire to win
souls for Christ. It is a specialized course which focuses specifically on
evangelizing the lost. The basic objective of this course is to help students
become knowledgeable and effective in the ministry of winning souls and answering
the call of our Lord to "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel
them to come in, that my house may be filled." (Luke 12:23a). An outline
of the courses and subjects covered includes: Openers to Soul Winning, The
Cause and Result of Sin, Scriptures to Know, Preparation for Soul Winning,
What Makes a Soul Winner, Preparation and Mistakes to Avoid in Soul Winning,
Conversation Openers, Branches of Evangelism, Tract Evangelism, and Counseling
Follow-up and Leadership Guidelines. If your earnest desire is to enhance your
ability to be an effective witness for Christ, then this is the class for you.
This is a one year course.
THE GENERAL BIBLE COURSE is designed for those who want a more comprehensive
knowledge of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. If you feel called to the
Pastoral ministry and want an excellent working knowledge of subjects such
as Old and New Testament synthesis, the Seven Dispensations, Personal Divine
Life and a variety of other subjects which will greatly enhance your ministry-then
register for this course. This is a two year course.
THE TEACHER TRAINING COURSE is designed especially for those who have
the serious responsibility of teaching in the Sunday School. This course emphasizes
the importance of dealing with the problems of the young in every aspect of
life, from the cradle to the college level. So if you are among those blessed
with the privilege of training and channeling life through various stages;
or if you are looking forward to teaching in a Bible school, college, or seminary,
then you are encouraged to register for this course. This course can be completed
in two years beyond the General Bible Course.
POST-GRADUATE IN THEOLOGY COURSE -- in a day when secular schools and
some religious institutions are denying the Faith, the serious-minded believer
would want to be qualified and equipped to cope with the rising tide of skepticism.
Education is definitely on the ascendancy, not merely in America, but all over
the civilized world. So if you feel the need of someone meeting the challenge
of our day, then remember that you are that someone. You will study the Sciences
as they relate to the Bible, Comparative Religion, Systematic Theology, etc.
This course will help you enhance the ministry gifts God has given you as a
Christian minister. Registration for this course is highly recommended. This
course can be completed in two years beyond the General Bible course.
THE ADVANCED PEDAGOGY/ANDRAGOGY COURSE is prescribed for those students
who have successfully completed the Post-Graduate in Theology course and would
like to continue their Christian education. This course includes challenging
subjects such as Genesis in the light of modern research (including knowledge
and critiques of "Higher Criticism" and the so-called Documentary
Hypothesis), Evolutionary teaching compared with Genesis, the Life and Times
of Jesus the messiah (named after the required text), Anthropology, Apologetics
(defending the faith), Thanatology (death and dying), Cults and the Occult,
Political Theology and a variety of other subjects. This course can be completed
in two years.
THE EARLY CHURCH HISTORY COURSE is recommended (beyond Advanced Ped.)
for those who are interested in extensive research work into the history of
the early church of the fist 600 years. Here students study some of the writing
s of the Apostolic Fathers, the Church Fathers, the Polemics and Apologists,
and the Anti-Gnostic Fathers. This new course also includes studies on the
Reformation and its significant characters, Zwigli, the Anabaptists, Calvinists,
Anglicans, Puritans, Episcopals, Presbyterians and the beginners of Modern
Science and Philosophy.
THE WORKS OF JOSEPHUS is an intensive 1-1/2 hour class started by the
President of BCCTI, Bishop Roy Bryant, Sr. Elder Harry King is now teaching
this course. Selected and motivated students will study Biblical history through
the eyes of Flavius Josephus, a first century Jewish historian and Roman governor
during the Apostolic Age. Pertinent secular history and Apocryphal writings
written during the 400 "silent years' between the Testaments is also studied
in detail. Students are required to research on their own and come up with
short but detailed descriptions/essays to display their competency in the course
material. This is a two year course.
THE CHRISTIAN-CENTERED LEADERSHIP CLASS (CCL) is designed to inspire
and improve the leadership capabilities of various individuals who are involved
in, or feel a call to leadership and management in the Christian church. After
attending this class, participants will not only be able to change their perceptions
about themselves and their true capabilities, but they will also increase their
personal and organizational effectiveness through learning and living Christian
principles of leadership. These principles, employed to build a stronger, more
effective church organization, will help to empower Christian people and the
organizations they serve. Once applied, these principals will significantly
increase performance capability to achieve worthwhile purposes in a Christ-like
manner. This is a one year course.
DEMONOLOGY is the study, classification and activities of demons. This
course is directed to invade the kingdom of Satan and to enlighten the student
about the works of Satan and his demons. Due to the lack of knowledge, many
are not able to discern the difference between the flesh and the spirit. Jesus
said, "Search the scriptures: they are they which testify of me." Each
student will have the opportunity to research the scriptures to identify the
works of Satan throughout the Bible. Upon the completion of this two year course,
the studious student will be skilled and sensitive to the Holy Spirit and will
be able to teach others also.
ACTS AND THE LIFE OF PAUL is designed to explore the Book of Acts,
the events leading up to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the
missionary and evangelistic work of the Apostles, and the role of the missionary
and evangelist in the early stages of church history. There will be special
emphasis on the examination of the life, ministry and writings of Paul, the
Apostle to the Gentiles.
BIBLE STUDY AND LECTURES is highly recommended for those who hunger
for the Word of God. This course is tailored to satisfy that need through selected
scriptures and readings as the Spirit leads. The lectures are to enhance the
students' knowledge and bring them into a higher level of understanding. Unlike
any other course offered, Bible Study and Lectures are exempt from any tests
or exams. Thereby students have complete freedom to study and concentrate solely
on the Word of God.
Students who maintain a grade point average of at least 2.0 (or a 'C') and satisfactorily complete all or most chapel assignments, essays, reports, and thesis/dissertation work (for degrees), are eligible for graduation. The Graduation ceremony usually takes place on the second Sunday evening in June. Cap and Gown forms must be filled out and turned into the Dean's office between late February and early April of the graduating year. Check our student information bulletin board during the year for more information about cap and gown forms, graduation attire requirements, and degree program thesis/dissertation topics.
